Post-Prom is a chaperoned lock-in party that runs from
about midnight into the early-morning hours. Usually
about 75% of prom-goers attend the party and some
students that did not attend prom will go to post-prom.
It is often easier to have the post-prom somewhere other
than where the prom is being held. Students usually
change into casual clothes and sometimes they wear
clothing that matches the theme for post-prom. Here is a
list of possible sites to consider:
- The
high school itself
- Multi-screen cinema
- Country Club
- The American Legion or VFW
- Bowling alley
- The local YMCA or YWCA
- City park or recreation center
- Civic Center
- Amusement park
- The junior high or elementary school
Hold a school-wide theme contest and then have
students vote for the best idea. |
